Founded in 1858, Winona State University is located on three campuses: the main campus in Winona, Minnesota, the West Campus in Winona, and Winona State University-Rochetser Center. Over 80 undergraduate, pre-professional, and graduate programs are offered through the colleges of Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Sciences, Science and Engineering, and Graduate Studies. Home to 8,186 students, Winona State University is the oldest member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.

Nursing Education at Winona State University

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Winona State University is home to the Department of Nursing. Winona State University has been offering nursing education for over 35 years. Located on campuses in Winona and Rochester, Minnesota, Winona State University offers BSN programs and an MSN degree available in Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nursing Administrator, and Nurse Educator. Students who have already earned a master’s degree can choose from post-master’s certificates in Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator. Distance education opportunities exist for students located outside the region.
