The University of Florida, located in Gainesville, Florida, is Florida’s largest university and traces its roots to 1853. With 50,000 students, the University is home to 16 colleges and more than 150 research centers and institutes. The University of Florida offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and a wide range of graduate programs, as well as distance education and continuing education programs. Outside the classroom, UF students participate in a variety of intercollegiate sports and student activities.

Nursing Education at University of Florida

Founded in 1956, the University of Florida College of Nursing offers BSN, Accelerated BSN, BSN to PhD, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs. The College has more than 700 undergraduate students, 230 graduate students, and 48 doctoral students, as well as 80 faculty members, and offers programs on two campuses. The College of Nursing at the University of Florida is also home to several centers and institutes, including the Genetics Institute, the Shands Cancer Center, and the Institute on Aging, providing nursing students numerous opportunities for education and research.
