The University of Delaware, founded in 1743, offers four associate’s programs, 130 bachelor’s, 110 masters, and 43 doctoral programs through seven colleges: Agriculture and Natural Resources; Arts and Sciences; Business and Economics; Engineering; Health Sciences; Human Services, Education, and Public Policy; and Marine and Earth Studies. With more than 20,500 students, the University offers graduate, undergraduate, and professional education. Outside the classroom, students participate in 23 intercollegiate athletics programs, more than 200 student organizations, and a variety of activities in art, music, and theater. The University of Delaware also operates locations in Dover, Wilmington, Georgetown, and Lewes, Delaware, as well as teaching facilities in London and Paris.


Nursing Education at University of Delaware

The School of Nursing at the University of Delaware was founded in 1962, offers a range of undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The traditional four-year BSN is designed for students new to nursing, transfer students, and students changing majors. An acclerated BSN and programs for RN’s are also available. MSN programs are offered in two concentrations: Family Nurse Practitioner/Adult Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. Other options include a post-master’s certificate and a School Nurse Certificate.
