Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center serves the health care needs of more than 2.5 million people throughout a 108-county area in Texas. What began in 1969 as Texas Tech University School of Medicine is now made up of six schools, with campus locations in Abilene, Amarillo, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Highland Lakes, Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs through two schools of Medicine, and the schools of Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, and Biomedical Sciences.

Nursing Education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

The School of Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center offers undergraduate and graduate programs in nursing through its online degree programs. RN to BSN and second-degree BSN programs are available. The Graduate Program provides distance education through locations in Lubbock, Permian Basin, and Hill Country, and offers an RN to MSN in Rural Leadership Education, as well as MSN programs in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
