North Georgia College and State University, founded in 1873, is situated on a 630-acre campus in Dahlonega, Georgia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The School offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate majors and serves more than 5,000 students. North Georgia College and State University was the first co-educational college in the state. With twelve percent its student body enrolled as cadets, North Georgia College and State University is designated as the Military College of Georgia.

Nursing Education at North Georgia College & State University

The Department of Nursing at North Georgia College and State University was founded in 1974. Today, the School offers associate, bachelor, and master’s degrees in nursing. The BSN program, on the main campus, is also available as an LPN/RN Bridge program. MSN students can choose from programs in Family Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Education. The Department of Nursing at North Georgia College and State University is designated as a Partner in Nursing Education with the US Army.
