Founded in 1936, Mount Marty College is Catholic institution located in Yankton, South Dakota, a town of 15,000 people. With 1,100 students from 25 states and 5 countries, Mount Marty College offers undergraduate and graduate programs in over 30 areas of study. The College has an 80-acre main campus, an undergraduate campus in Watertown and a Sioux Falls campus that is home to the graduate program in nursing. Facilities include the new Scholastica Learning Center and Cyber Caf

Nursing Education at Mount Marty College

The Nursing Program at Mount Marty College offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing that combines classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences. The College works with more than 20 health agencies to offer students clinical experience in a variety of settings including: Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Mickelson Center for Neurosciences, Yankton Community Health Nursing Agency, area nursing homes and other community and area agencies. Mount Marty College is home to a nursing health science lab designed to help students develop practical skills. Outside the classroom, nursing students at Mount Marty College are involved in the Student Nurses Club and the Nursing Students Association.
