Metropolitan State University, located in Saint Paul, Minneapolis, offers more than 50 majors, 9 graduate programs, and a doctoral program. Founded in 1971, the University serves 9,000 full-time and part-time students. Programs are administered through the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Management, Professional Studies, Nursing and Health Sciences, and the School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. Metropolitan State University is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

Nursing Education at Metropolitan State University

The School of Nursing at Metropolitan State University offers RN to BSN and BSN degree programs. The RN to BSN is also available as a satellite program through four community and technical colleges. In addition to the undergraduate nursing programs, Metropolitan State University offers an MSN degree. Full-time and part-time programs are available and many courses are offered both on campus and online. The School is committed to addressing serious health care challenges faced by the diverse population of Minnesota.
