Macon State College, a commuter college founded in 1968, is the largest undergraduate college in Central Georgia. With campus locations in Macon and Warner Robins, the College is home to over 6,400 students and offers bachelors and associates degrees, career programs, and certificates. Students at Macon State College can take daytime, evening, and online classes. In addition to the 187-acre Macon Campus and the Warner Robins Campus, the College offers programs on the Robins Air Force Base. Macon State College offers 20 majors, more than 30 student organizations, and intramural and recreational sports. Campus resources include academic, personal, and career counseling.

Nursing Education at Macon State College

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Macon State College offers ASN, BSN, and RN to BSN programs. An MSN program in Clinical Nurse Leadership is also available. The state of Georgia is projected to have a shortage of 80,000 registered nurses by the year 2020 and Macon State College programs are designed to help fill that need. Nursing programs at Macon State College combine general education courses with specific nursing courses to prepare graduates that are able to meet the challenges of the nursing profession.
