La Salle University was founded in 1863, and has a 130-acre main campus six miles from the center of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additional campuses are located in Bucks County and Montgomery County. With 7,500 students, La Salle University offers 41 undergraduate majors, 15 minors, 13 graduate programs, and 37 certificate programs through its three schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, and Nursing and Health Sciences. The College of Professional and Continuing Studies offers programs and courses to adult learners. Facilities at La Salle University include 1,000 computer workstations, a 4,000 seat basketball arena, and the 83,000 square-foot Holroyd Science Center. Students at La Salle University, who represent 44 states and 27 countries, provide more than 35,000 hours of service every year through a variety of Community service groups.

Nursing Education at La Salle University

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at La Salle University offers a daytime BSN program and evening programs that include an RN to BSN, an accelerated BSN, an LPN to BSN, an RN to MSN Bridge program, and the ACHIEVE Program, and evening/weekend BSN degree. Nursing Students at La Salle University gain clinical experience in a wide variety of health care settings including: Albert Einstein Medical Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and Bryn Mawr Hospital, among many others. The mission of the nursing programs at La Salle University is to prepare students to be culturally and clinically competent nurses who are engaged in life long learning, service, leadership, and scholarship.
