Jacksonville State University, located in Jacksonville, Alabama, was founded in 1883. The University offers a range of degrees to its 9,500 students through the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Commerce and Business Administration, the College of Education and Professional Studies, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the College of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education. Nursing Education at Jacksonville State University

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Jacksonville State University offers BSN, RN to BSN, RN to BSN to MSN, and MSN programs. In addition to the degree programs, a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education is available.The MSN program concentration is in Community Health Nursing. The RN to BSN to MSN program is known as the STEP program which allows students to take courses for the MSN while still completing the BSN degree. All nursing degree programs at Jacksonville State University include an academic component and a clinical component.
