Husson College, founded in 1898 is based in Bangor, Maine, with locations in South Portland, Presque Isle, Eastport, and Calais. With an enrollment of 2,500 students, Husson College offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide variety of subject areas through its schools of Business; Health; Education; Pharmacy; and Science and Humanities. Many of the programs at Husson College involve hands-on learning through internships and real-world clinical experiences. Outside the classroom, Husson College students are involved in varsity and intramural sports, and student organizations that include the Criminal Justice Club, the Outdoors club, and the Technology Club.
Nursing Education at Husson College
The Department of Nursing at Husson College is more than 100 years old and offers undegraduate and graduate degrees. The BSN program combines nursing theory with hands-on experience and students gain clinical experiences in hospitals and other community health agencies. The MSN program is available in two concentrations: Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing, and Family/Community Nurse Practitioner. In addition to the degree programs, Husson College offers post-master’s certificates in Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing and Family and Community Nurse Practitioner.
