Established in 1991, and located in Fort Myers, Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University is also home to a distance education division and a continuing education division, in addition to its traditional on-campus degree programs. Nursing Education at Florida Gulf Coast University

The Nursing Program at Florida Gulf Coast University offers BSN and MSN programs. BSN students learn nursing skills through parternships with community organizations and classroom study. MSN degree programs are available in several areas: Acute Care, Nurse Anesthesia, and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner. In addition to the degree programs, a certificate in Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner is available. The programs at Florida Gulf Coast University are designed to prepare nurses to function successfully in a wide variety of health care organizations.
