Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University , established in 1890, is located in Tallahassee, Florida. With an enrollment of over 8,500, Florida A&M University offers undegraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees and graduates more African Americans at the bachelor level than any other university in the country. Florida A&M University offers 62 bachelor’s degrees, 37 master’s degrees, three professional degrees, and 11 doctoral programs through its 13 schools and colleges. The University is home to the Environmental Sciences Institute, the Center for Environmental Equity and Justice, the Institute for Building Sciences, and the Center for Water Quality, among other institutes and centers.

Nursing Education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

The School of Nursing at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University offers BSN, RN to BSN, MSN, and doctoral programs. Nursing students at Florida A&M University enjoy close relationships with faculty, and gain experience in both rural and urban health care settings. Clinical experiences take place in a variety of health care organizations including hospitals, community clinics, and homes. The MSN program allows students to focus in one of two areas: Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
