Ferris State University, located in Big Rapids, Michigan, offers more than 170 degrees through its eight schools and colleges: Allied Health Sciences; Arts and Sciences; Business; Education and Human Services; Optometry; Pharmacy; Professional and Technological Studies; and Engineering Technology. Founded in 1884, the University now sits on an 880-acre campus and has an enrollment of almost 14,000 students. Students at Ferris State University can take advantage of 220 organizations and clubs on campus, including Chess Club, Rugby, Paintball, performing arts, politics, and religious activities.

Nursing Education at Ferris State University

Ferris State University offers several degree programs in nursing including a BSN program, an RN to BSN Completion degree, and an MSN degree program. Nursing students at Ferris State University learn through classroom study, online courses, a state-of-the-art nursing skills lab, and clinical experiences in a variety of health care organizations. Ferris State University nurses work in all areas of nursing including surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency care, long term care, Public Health, hospice, and school nursing. MSN students can choose from three specialty concentrations: nursing education, nursing administration, and nursing informatics.
