Fairfield University, a Jesuit university founded in 1942, is located in Fairfield, Connecticut. With an enrollment of more than 5,000 students, Fairfield University offers 34 undergraduate and 35 graduate degrees, as well as continuing studies programs through its five schools: the College of Arts and Sciences; the Charles F. Dolan School of Business; the School of Nursing; the School of Engineering; and the University College of Continuing Studies. Outside class, students at Fairfield University participate in intramural sports, community service projects, internships, and a variety of cultural events and activities on campus.

Nursing Education at Fairfield University

Fairfield University’s School of Nursing offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. Available BSN programs of study are: the traditional, four-year BSN program; a part-time BSN degree; a second-degree BSN option; and an RN to BSN program. The School of Nursing is affiliated with more than 50 health care agencies where students practice nursing skills in real-world clinical settings. In addition, BSN students have the opportunity to study abroad in Italy at the University of Padova. MSN students can focus their studies in several areas including: Clinical Nurse Leader, Family Nurse Practitioner, Healthcare Management, Nurse Anesthesia, and Psych Nurse Practitioner.
