Founded in 1895, Eastern Illinois University is situated on a 320-acre campus in Charleston, Illinois. Undergraduate and graduate programs are administered through the Colleges of Arts and Humanities, Business and Applied Sciences, Education and Professional Studies, and Sciences. With an enrollment of over 12,000, the University offers 44 undergraduate majors, 55 minors, and 25 graduate degree programs. As part of their degree program, students at Eastern Illinois University can also choose from a number of study abroad programs. Outside the classroom, students at Eastern Illinois University are involved in team sports, 27 fraternities and sororities, and more than 150 student organizations.

Nursing Education at Eastern Illinois University

The Nursing Program at East Illinois University offers an RN to BSN program for registered nurseswanting to complete a BS in Nursing. Courses are delivered in a hybrid format, with distance learning making up the majority of the class content delivery. With a foundation in liberal arts, the sciences, and applied learning experiences, the nursing degree program at East Illinois University prepares students to practice as nurses in a variety of settings.
