Duquesne University, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1878. With an enrollment of almost 10,400 students, the University offers degree programs through its 10 schools. Students can choose from 100 undegraduate programs, 66 graduate degrees, and 22 doctoral programs. Dusquesne University also offers programs to working adults through its Adult and Continuing Education Department. Outside class, Duquesne University students are involved in athletics, the arts, volunteer activities, outdoor programs, and a wide range of student clubs and organizations.


Nursing Education at Duquesne University

The School of Nursing at Duquesne University offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in nursing. The BSN program is designed for students with no nursing background, and for students who already have an undergraduate degree in another field. Graduate nursing students at Duquesne can purse an MSN, post-master’s certificates, a PhD, or DNP degree. Students in the MSN program can choose from six concentrations including: Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, Family Nurse Practitioner, Forensic Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Education, and Mental Health Clinical Nursing. Duquesne University offers online and on-campus programs of study.
