Delta State University, founded in 1925, is located in Cleveland, Mississippi, and houses the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Education, and the School of Nursing. Offering 42 undergraduate majors and eight master’s degrees, the University serves undegraduate, graduate and continuing studies students, and offers distance education in addition to traditional, on-campus programs. Students at Delta State University participate in 13 intercollegiate sports including football, basketball, baseball, swimming, diving, tennis, soccer, and golf.

Nursing Education at Delta State University

The School of Nursing at Delta State University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. Undergraduate students can pursue a BSN or an RN to BSN program of study. The RN to BSN degree is offered entirely online. Graduate students in the MSN program, which is also offered online, can choose between three tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, or Nurse Administrator. Students have access to state-of-the-art nursing skills equipment, available in the Clinical Skills Labs. Delta State University partners with rural communities in the Mississippi Delta to help meet the health care needs of this region.
