Founded in 1878, Creighton University is a Jesuit Catholic institution located in Omaha, Nebraska. With a student enrollment of 7,000, Creighton University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the Arts, Sciences, Business Administration, and Nursing. In addition, Creighton is home to programs in Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Allied Health. Situated on a 120-acre campus, Creighton University also offers students the opportunity to be involved in sports, student government, community service, Model UN and the school newspaper, among many other activities.

Nursing Education at Creighton University

The School of Nursing at Creighton University offers a traditional four-year BSN, an accelerated one-year BSN, an RN to BSN, an MSN degree, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Nursing programs are offered on two campuses: the main Omaha campus, and the Hastings-Mary Lanning campus in central Nebraska. The Jesuit educational setting aims to prepare nurses who deliver value-centered health care, and who make decisions in an ethical manner. The MSN program at Creighton University provides training for advanced practice as a nurse practitioner, clinical nurse leader, or clinical specialist in family health, adult health, cardiac rehabilitation, community, or neonatal nursing. The MSN program is offered on a part-time and a full-time basis.
