Cleveland State University, established in 1964, sits on an 85-acre campus in Cleveland, Ohio. The University’s 16,000 students can choose from 200 fields of study, as well as certificate and continuing education courses. These programs are offered through eight colleges including Business Administration, Education and Human Services, Engineering, Law, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Urban Affairs, and Graduate Studies. Because almost 90 percent of Cleveland State University students work either full-time or part-time, the University offers flexible, convenient class times. Outside class, the University is home to 150 student organizations including a range of athletics, arts, fraternities, and sororities.

Nursing Education at Cleveland State University

The School of Nursing at Cleveland State University is housed in the College of Education and Human Services and offers BSN and MSN degrees. Four BSN programs are offered: Basic Track, Accelerated Track, RN to BSN Track, and Freshman Entry Pathway. The BSN program is designed to prepare nurses to function in community-based health care settings. Graduate students can pursue one of seven tracks within the MSN program: Specialized Population, Forensic Nursing, Clinical Nurse Leader, MSN/MBA, School Nurse Licensure, Education, and Gerontology. The MSN degree is offered as an online program for students who are working full time.
