Clarkson College, located in Omaha, Nebraska, was founded in 1888 as a training school for nurses. Affiliated with the Episcopal church, the College offers degrees in the health sciences, with programs in both online and on-campus formats. With an enrollment of aproximately 790, students enjoy a low student/faculty ratio. Students can earn associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, in addition to diplomas and certificates in Nursing, Health Care Business, Allied Health, and Professional Development. The Nebraska Medical Center, located across the street from the College, serves as Clarkson’s Education Partner and offers students a range of hands-on learning opportunities.
Nursing Education at Clarkson College
Clarkson College offers BSN and MSN degrees, as well as post-master’s certificates in nursing. In addition, the College offers a Practical Nursing diploma program designed for working adults. Undergraduate nursing students can complete a four-year BSN, a fast track program, an LPN to BSN, or an RN to BSN program. Nursing students in the graduate program can pursue one of four concentrations: Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Education, or Nursing Health Care Leadership. Clarkson College also offers what’s called the Grace Co-op, a dual degree program in Biblical Studies and Nursing, offered in partnership with Grace University.
