California State University-Dominguez Hills is located minutes from downtown Los Angeles. Founded in 1960, the University offers 45 undergraduate majors, 24 master’s degrees and additional certificate programs. With an enrollment of almost 13,000, CSU-Dominguez Hills serves an ethnically diverse student body. Students can choose from programs in five different colleges: Arts & Humanities; Business Administration & Public Policy; Extended & International Education; Professional Studies; and Natural & Behavioral Sciences. The Home Depot Center, an Olympic training site and sports complex, is located on the CSU-Dominguez campus.
Nursing Education at California State University - Dominguez Hills
The School of Nursing at California State University-Dominguez Hills offers BSN, MSN, and Master’s Entry-level Professional Nursing degrees. Both the BSN and MSN programs are offered primarily online. The pre-licensure Master’s Entry-level program is campus-based. Students can also purse a certificate program to become a Public Health Nurse, or take individual courses as part of their continuing education. Nursing programs at California State University-Dominguez Hills are designed to be as accessible and flexible as possible, taking advantage of available technology. The School of Nursing offers students the opportunity to become members of the Nursing Student Organization, which provides a student mentor program and serves as a resource for nursing students at CSU-Dominguez Hills.
